The Costa Brava is more than 200 kilometres of rocky coast, from Blanes to the French border.
Some couples choose a hotel above a cove, others a masia among the fields of the Empordà, a few minutes from the beach. Both work beautifully: a morning by the sea, the ceremony in a garden, dinner under the trees.
The coast faces east, so the sun sets behind the land and not over the sea. The last hour of light is warm and soft on the hills and gardens. If you dream of the sea in your portraits, we plan a moment for it earlier in the afternoon, or a sunrise session the day after.
Our studio is in Centelles, about an hour from the southern Costa Brava. We know the roads, the venues and how the light moves through the day.

Do you photograph weddings all along the Costa Brava?
Yes, from Blanes and Tossa de Mar to Begur, Roses and Cadaqués, and inland in the Empordà. Tell us your venue and we will include any travel in our proposal.
When is the best time of year for a Costa Brava wedding?
May, June, September and early October. The light is soft, the sea is warm enough for a swim and the villages are calmer than in July and August.
What time should the ceremony be for the best light?
The Costa Brava faces east, so the sun sets behind the land. We usually suggest a ceremony two to three hours before sunset, and a short portrait walk in the last hour of light.
Is the wind a problem?
In the north, around Cadaqués and Roses, the tramuntana wind can blow hard for a day or two. Ask your venue for a sheltered plan B. In photographs, a veil in the wind can look beautiful.
