Girona

Wedding photographers
in Girona.

A walled old town on a river, and around it farmhouses, gardens, volcanoes and castles. Girona is one of the most beautiful places in Catalonia to get married, and one of our favourites.

The bride and groom greet guests lined up on both sides of a lawn aisle, cypress trees behind, film frame, Emma and Sergi’s wedding at El Jardí de Calders

Getting married here

Old stone,
green gardens.

Stone farmhouse under a deep blue sky with the ceremony chairs set on the lawn and a person standing nearby, Sílvia and Robert’s wedding at home in Llagostera

Most weddings near Girona happen in the countryside: a masia with a garden, a castle in the Empordà, an old house among the oaks.

The city itself is perfect for portraits. The old quarter, its steps and narrow streets, and the coloured houses over the Onyar river make a beautiful walk before or after the ceremony.

To the north, the Garrotxa has volcanic landscapes and beech woods. To the east, the Empordà opens towards the Costa Brava. Wherever you celebrate, the sea is rarely more than an hour away.

We have photographed weddings in Bonmatí, Llagostera and Sant Andreu Salou, and our studio in Centelles is about an hour from Girona.

Questions

Good to know.

Can’t find your answer? We are one message away.

Ask us anything
Do you photograph weddings in Girona city?

Yes. Many couples get ready or hold their ceremony in the city and celebrate in a masia nearby. A short walk through the old quarter gives beautiful, relaxed portraits.

When is the best season?

Late spring and early autumn. Inland Girona can be hot in July and August, so in summer we plan the portraits for the last hour of light.

Can we have a winter wedding?

Yes. Masies with fireplaces and stone halls are cosy in winter, and the low sun gives soft light all afternoon. Days are short, so we plan the timing of the day with you.

Do you travel to the Garrotxa and the Empordà?

Yes, all over the province of Girona. Tell us your venue and we will include any travel in our proposal.

Elsewhere

We also photograph weddings in

and all over Spain.
