A cliff-top Parador above the Aiguablava cove
The Parador de Aiguablava stands on the Punta d’es Muts, a headland surrounded by pines, above the cove of Aiguablava in Begur. Paradores, the Spanish hotel chain, reopened the building in 2020. It keeps a design inspired by Mediterranean coastal architecture, and the views of the Costa Brava reach from the rooms and from several viewpoints in the garden. The spa and the outdoor pool also face the sea.
Paradores lists the Aiguablava Parador among the places where it hosts weddings. The hotel has a garden with viewpoints, a terrace, an outdoor pool and a restaurant with sea views. For events it has a function room called Bahía, of 121 m², with a maximum of 92 people. In summer, a second restaurant, Mar i Vent, opens on the sand of the small beach below the Parador.
Paradores says that the Parador’s events team plans the wedding with you, and that the banquet menu is designed around your needs. It suits couples who want a hotel with an established team, a quiet setting among pines and the sea in view. The website does not describe the ceremony spaces, so ask whether the ceremony can take place in the garden.

The garden viewpoints are the best frames here: the cove, the sea and the headland are all in view, and the Parador itself faces the water. Try portraits in the last hour before sunset. On a headland, wind is a real factor, so use clips or weights for veils and ask for sturdy flower arrangements. The pines around the building may give some shade in summer, but the open viewpoints give none, so avoid midday for portraits.
The small beach below the Parador, with the Aiguablava cove, makes a second location for a short session, but allow extra time to walk down and back in wedding shoes. For rain, the function room Bahía is the indoor option listed on the site. Ask the events team to confirm it.
