Three Beautiful and Intimate Wedding Locations in Costa Brava, Spain

If you're thinking of holding your wedding in Costa Brava, Spain, take a look at these three picture-perfect Mediterranean venues!

It’s becoming increasingly popular to celebrate weddings in Costa Brava in a more intimate way, either because of the number of invitees or the wedding location. Thanks to our experience as local wedding photographers in Spain, we are delighted to suggest three of our favorite location venues for your destination wedding in Spain. If you’re looking for picturesque, idyllic, and unique wedding locations near the seaside, keep reading because we are sure you will fall in love with them.

For those who don’t know, Costa Brava is a Mediterranean area in North East Spain, in Catalonia, bordering France. It spans from Blanes to Portbou, two well-known getaway and holiday spots in Spain. Costa Brava is known for its warm Mediterranean climate in Summer and mild Winters, making it a perfect destination all year around. It’s also the most popular destination for small, untouched, natural bays in Spain. If you dream of getting married in Spain, Costa Brava is one of the best options.

Make your Mediterranean wedding in Costa Brava a dream come true.

    Convent de Blanes

El Convent de Blanes was first built in 1583. It has been preserved as a heritage site because of its relationship with the environment in Punta de Santa, marking the beginning of Costa Brava.

With the Mediterranean Sea beneath the building, and the cozy, and sophisticated decoration it presents, El Convent de Blanes is one of the best options for holding a medium-sized wedding. It also boasts one of the best caterers in Spain, with the world-renowned chef Nandu Jubany (one-star Michelin).

    Cortal Gran

With more than 500 hundred years of existence, the castle of Cortal Gran was intended to be a point of defense from pirates and thieves. In 2011 it opened its doors to the public as a wedding venue, with newly renovated terraces and annexed rooms.

Located in Sant Pere Pescador, the Cortal Gran stands out as a picturesque wedding spot surrounded by apple orchards, a perfect location for extended stays and discovering Costa Brava from there.

    Cala Jóncols

The Hotel Cala Jóncols is an Italian-built venue from 1955. Later on, Pepe and Rosario, originally from Andalusia, came in 1969 to work in it. Getting there is quite the adventure due to its remote, privileged location, neighboring places like Cap Norfeu, a beautiful natural park, Cadaques, one of the most beautiful fishermen villages in Spain, or Cap de Creus, a unique, rocky peninsula known for being the inspiration for Salvador Dali’s paintings.

If you’re looking for an isolated, intimate, and precious spot for your wedding celebration, look no further as this is one of the best places to marry in Spain.

Weddings in Costa Brava are the best way to get dream-like memories of one of the best days in your life.

We hope you enjoyed our suggestions for having your wedding in Spain and making your Mediterranean wedding a dream come true. If you are looking for great wedding photographers in Spain, we will make sure to capture one of the most important days in your life as if it were a movie, so you can look back at it with fond memories.
