A modernist landmark by Domènech i Montaner on Passeig de Gràcia, now a five-star hotel with a rooftop lookout terrace and a weddings team.
About Hotel Casa Fuster

A modernist landmark on Passeig de Gràcia

Hotel Casa Fuster is a five-star hotel at Passeig de Gràcia 132, in a modernist building by Lluís Domènech i Montaner, one of his last great works in Barcelona. Mariano Fuster built the house for his wife, Consuelo Fabra i Puig. Work began in 1908 and the family moved in in 1911. The façade was the first in Barcelona built with white marble, and a rose window on the Carrer Gràcia side carries her initials, CF. The building was restored and opened as a hotel in 2004.

The weddings page speaks of charming spaces on Passeig de Gràcia, quality cuisine and a team that guides you from the start. It does not name the rooms used for weddings, so ask which ones fit your guest list. The standard wedding programme includes table linen and chair covers, fine tableware, place notes and a trial menu for two at Café Vienés. For weddings of more than 80 guests the hotel adds a bridal room with breakfast, welcome gifts and late check-out. You can ask for a quote for a cocktail, a lunch or a dinner.

The hotel also has a rooftop lookout terrace with views of Passeig de Gràcia and Tibidabo, which it describes as a venue for social events, and a historic café, the Café Vienés. It suits couples who want a city wedding in a landmark building, with the hotel rooms on the same site. If you are planning from abroad, our Barcelona destination wedding guide covers the first steps.

For your photos

The rooftop lookout is the most useful space for portraits, with the city and Tibidabo behind you. Ask for a time when it is free of other guests, because the Mirador Terrace also runs as a cocktail terrace in the evening. Late afternoon light is usually kind to a rooftop, so ask about the schedule and the closing time.

Inside, the Café Vienés has large windows onto Passeig de Gràcia, good for a few portraits in natural light. The street is busy, so quick portraits at the entrance or near the rose window on Carrer Gràcia are easier early in the day or before guests arrive. The bridal room (offered from 80 guests) is a quiet place to get ready. Rain changes little, as most of the hotel is indoors. Set aside 30 to 45 minutes for portraits.
